Omega believes that the benefits of a holistic education should be available to everyone. We strive to bring many voices, perspectives and life experiences to Omega. The Omega Scholarship Program is one of the ways we demonstrate our commitment to building a holistic learning community, increasing our responsiveness to barriers that exist, and creating greater access to the educational opportunities offered by Omega.
Each year, hundreds of people are supported by the Omega Scholarship Program to participate in a wide range of workshops, retreats, and conferences. Omega is grateful for the support of generous individuals, foundations and organizations, enabling us to award full and partial scholarships to qualified applicants. Below is a list of Omega's current scholarship opportunities. Scholarship eligibility, criteria, and application deadlines vary so please review each scholarship description to find the one that best fits your needs.
This partial scholarship is for the innovative 4-week residential Ecological Literacy Immersion Program (ELIP), which helps participants explore new ways to understand natural systems and how to live and work within them. Applications for ELIP will be considered on a rolling admissions basis. This program is limited to 30 students. Apply early. Registration will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
The Omega Women’s Leadership Center is offering scholarships for the 2015 Women & Power Retreat: Being Bold. Since 2002, Omega’s Women & Power series has brought thousands of women together to explore issues of power, spiritual growth, and social action. In a weekend of inspirational keynotes, stimulating panel conversations, and experiential workshops, participants are invited to reflect, heal, and gain skills for living with greater purpose. This scholarship is for teachers, educators, and school administrators to participate in Contemplative Practice in Higher Education in order to cultivate their own mindfulness practice for stress relief, presence, and emotional balance, and learn how to apply these skills in a classroom setting. Partial and full scholarships are available. All applications are reviewed together following the close of the application period. This scholarship for the Women's Permaculture Teacher Training is open to women only; applicants should obtain a Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC) as a prerequisite to this program. We are pleased to announce that scholarships are available for the Omega Women’s Leadership Center’s 2015 workshops. These workshops build on the legacy of the Women & Power conferences and offer a range of leadership skill-building opportunities—from conflict resolution, financial literacy, public speaking, and writing to learning from nature and "flying" on the trapeze. The United Breast Cancer Foundation (UBCF) has partnered with Omega to provide financial assistance to breast cancer patients and survivors within five years remission so they can participate in retreats, classes, seminars, and other learning opportunities focused on holistic healing, health, and well being at Omega’s Rhinebeck, New York campus. Full scholarships cover program tuition, meals, and dorm accommodations for a weekend workshop. To apply, download the application below.
