Abdi Assadi, MS, LAc, is an acupuncturist and spiritual counselor raised in Africa, Asia, and the United States. His training includes more than 30 years of study in meditation and a variety of martial arts. He also has more than 20 years of training in Chinese medicine, as well as shamanic practices of South and North American origin.
Assadi has been a practicing clinician in New York City for the past 25 years. He began his work dealing with issues of addiction and substance abuse and leading meditation groups. Presently, he has a general practice that centers on helping his clients use their disease and dysfunction as a doorway to spiritual serenity.
Throughout the United States and Europe, Abdi Assadi leads interactive workshops based on his book Shadows On The Path, which explores the often overlooked aspects of spiritual materialism in our culture of consumption and the ways we can hide on our spiritual journey.
