Amy Weintraub

Amy Weintraub, MFA, E-RYT 500, author of Yoga for Depression and Yoga Skills in Psychotherapy: No Mat Required, is a senior Kripalu Yoga teacher and founding director of the LifeForce Yoga Healing Institute. A known leader in the field of yoga and mental health, she offers professional certification trainings in LifeForce Yoga® for Mood Management and is trained in Internal Family Systems, an integral part of her yoga therapy practice.

Weintraub speaks at medical and psychological conferences and leads workshops and professional trainings internationally. She is involved in ongoing research on yoga and mental health, and her evidence-based yoga protocol for managing mood is featured on the LifeForce Yoga® CD Series, and the first DVD home yoga practice series for mood management, LifeForce Yoga to Beat the Blues. She is also a frequent contributor to national magazines and edits a free bimonthly newsletter that includes current research, news, and media reviews on yoga and mental health.

Amy Weintraub’s recovery from depression began more than 20 years ago on her yoga mat. Joy continues to unfold for her through the compassionate self-awareness that is the foundation of her yoga practice and teaching style.
