Dawn Avery

Composer, cellist, vocalist, educator, and Grammy-nominated performer Dawn Avery has worked with musical luminaries from Luciano Pavarotti to Sting, and David Darling to Joanne Shenandoah. While exploring world sacred music as a tool for deepening meditation and practical transformation, Dawn's Mohawk heritage and concern with community came together. She now teaches others to find sonic pathways toward wholeness and is a professor of music at Montgomery College.
