Deborah Kern, PhD, is a visionary mind-body teacher who is passionate about helping women live pleasurable, spirit-infused lives.
Kern studied herbal medicine and Ayurveda while living with indigenous women in the Costa Rican rainforest and in the jungles of Bali and holds a PhD in health sciences. She conducted pioneering research, showing that mind-body integrated approaches to exercise are more effective at reducing anxiety than conventional approaches to exercise. A black belt Nia teacher, a certified Integral Yoga instructor, Phoenix Rising Yoga therapist, and mindful change coach, Kern also provides keynote addresses and breakout sessions at professional conferences, women’s health conferences, and community events.
The author of Everyday Wellness for Women and Create the Body Your Soul Desires, Kern is dedicated to helping women create health, balance, serenity, and joy in all areas of their lives. She teaches Nia, yoga, and sensual movement classes; facilitates healing retreats; and provides one-on-one life coaching sessions.
