Dinty W. Moore

Dinty W. Moore is author of numerous books, includingThe Mindful Writer and the memoir Between Panic & Desire, winner of the Grub Street Nonfiction Book Prize.

He has worked as a zookeeper, a modern dancer, a waiter, a filmmaker, and a wire service journalist, and now writes essays and stories. He has taught writing in Europe, Mexico, and the United States, and edits the journal BrevityHis work has been published in the Southern Review, the Georgia Review, Harpers, the New York Times Magazine, Utne Reader, and other publications. 

He is director of the Creative Writing program at Ohio University.
