Jackie Ottino Graf

Jackie Ottino Graf has been working with fiber arts since learning to knit in high school home economics class. She works as the dye coordinator at Swans Island Company in Maine, where they operate the only commercial natural dyehouse in the country.

A scientist with an artist’s heart, she is fascinated by the chemistry of natural dyes. In her handspun and knitting work, she melds unusual colors together in an organic way. She is a self-proclaimed "yarn snob" and "hoarder of all things wool."
