Jeremy Geffen

We are saddened by the loss of Jeremy Geffen, a special teacher at Omega, who passed away in June 2015.

Jeremy Geffen, MD, FACP, is a board-certified medical oncologist, a leader in the field of integrative medicine, and the founder of Geffen Visions International, Inc. An inspiring writer, speaker, physician, and seminar leader, he is author of the highly acclaimed The Journey Through Cancer and The Seven Levels of Healing®, which help people to skillfully and effectively navigate the journey through cancer.

A summa cum laude graduate of Columbia University, Geffen received his doctor of medicine degree with honors from New York University School of Medicine, and in 1995, was elected a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. He is recipient of research grants from the National Cancer Institute and the Research Coordinating Committee of the University of California, and has testified before the United States Congress as an expert witness on integrative medicine and oncology.

In addition to his medical expertise, Geffen has explored the great spiritual and healing traditions of the world for more than 30 years, including Ayurveda, Tibetan medicine, yoga, meditation, and other approaches to health and self-awareness. In 1994, he founded the Geffen Cancer Center and Research Institute (GCCRI) in Vero Beach, Florida, one of the first cancer centers in the United States explicitly designed to provide a working model of truly holistic, comprehensive cancer care for the 21st century. Geffen closed GCCRI in 2003 to focus on Geffen Visions International Inc., and later became the director of integrative oncology for P4 Healthcare and Caring4Cancer.com.

Geffen's work is now focused on writing, speaking, and consulting with hospitals, medical centers, and professional organizations to develop leading-edge integrative and multidimensional programs for medicine and life. He also leads seminars and retreats throughout the United States and abroad, and offers personal consulting services for individuals and their families.
