Joel Fuhrman

Joel Fuhrman is a board-certified family physician and one of the country’s leading experts on nutritional healing. He speaks to audiences at conferences and events throughout the United States and Canada, and has appeared on radio programs; in magazines, such as Mothering and Health Science; and on various television shows and networks, including Good Morning America, The Today Show, Good Day New York, America’s Talking, the TV Food Network, CNN, and the Discovery Channel.

Fuhrman’s best-selling book, Eat to Live: The Revolutionary Formula for Fast and Sustained Weight Loss describes his dietary approach to losing weight and preventing and reversing disease. Fuhrman is also author of Eat For Health, which guides readers through a gradual transition to increase the level of micronutrients in their diet, while losing addictive and psychological dependencies of unhealthy foods.

Fuhrman is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and has received the St. Joseph’s Family Practice Resident’s Teaching Award for his contribution to the education of residents. He is published in medical journals, such as the University of Pennsylvania Journal of Orthopedics and Alternative Therapies in Health and Medicine, and provides nutritional education to other physicians for CME credit. His lectures have been approved for physician continuing education via the American Academy of Family Physicians and many doctors of all specialties have attended his conferences. Fuhrman is also the founding director of the Eat Right America Foundation, a nonprofit organization established to fund nutritional research and public education to improve the health of all Americans.
