Josh Stack

Josh Stack is an attorney and counselor at law, resilience, and biomimicry. He focuses on resilience and life-inspired design through a unique framework of Coevolutionary Law, Architecture, Resilience Ecology (CLARE).

His past projects include actuating a community deconstruction infrastructure based on the ecosystem service of decomposition and law of reciprocity; refining a coevolutionary design framework based on resilience science, biomimicry, traditional ecological knowledge (TEK), and the sciences and laws of life; coordinating a diversity of LEED projects, including LEED for Homes Green Rater projects; and forming a biomimicry regional network.

Educated first in biology and living systems at Cornell University, then in law at the SUNY Buffalo School of Law, the Cornell University School of Law and the NYU College of Law, he adapts this experience to support clients in remaking buildings, communities, and initiatives into functionally and structural renewing infrastructures of living systems.
