Lydia Franco-Hodges

Lydia Franco-Hodges, MFA, is an actor, theatre maker, and teaching artist. She leads workshops for scientists throughout the country enhancing their communication skills through improvisation and theatre techniques.

She has taught acting and movement at Stony Brook University for many years and applauds the work created by her students. Lydia served as artistic director for the world premier of Ephemera at the Wang Center in Stony Brook, New York, which won the John Gassner New Play Award. She also created, directed, and choreographed Condemned and Medea Again.

She was a core member of the comedy improv troupe,Just Say Yes, and the Mulford Repertory Theatreand produces for the Neo-Political Cowgirls dance-theater. She is reprising her role as the Maker in the production EVE in fall 2014 in New York City, and can be seen in the upcoming filmWe Only know So Much.
