Nina Umai Spiro began developing the Pravada Shamanic Sound Healing System™ in early childhood, after a near-death experience that inspired her lifelong exploration in self-healing and the world of shamanic sound.

Pravada Shamanic Sound Healing™ weaves together Spiro’s Russian-Siberian lineage with earth and spirit teachings; a tremendous passion for supporting others in self-healing and following their deepest truth; 34 years of private practice in shamanic sound healing, meditation, complementary medicine, sound healing movement, vocal and instrumental sound therapy, and Reiki; and degrees in social work and psychotherapy.

Nina Umai Spiro has dedicated her life to working in as many forms as possible with individual, community, and global healing, as well as peace building. She offers private sessions, workshops, and an apprenticeship program at the Pravada Center in Massachusetts, and is founder of the global shamanic sound healing family project, One People.
