Sandra Ingerman, MA, is a world-renowned teacher of shamanism and a leading practitioner of shamanic journeying and soul retrieval.

Recognized for bridging ancient cross-cultural healing methods and modern approaches to address the needs of our time, she is devoted to teaching people how to work together as a global community to bring about positive change.

She is author of eight books, including Awakening to the Spirit World (with Hank Wesselman), Soul Retrieval, Shamanic Journeying, and How to Thrive in Changing Times, and has produced six CDs.

A teacher for more than 30 years, Ingerman is a licensed marriage and family therapist, a professional mental health counselor, and the founder of an international alliance of shamans with Medicine for the Earth Teachers. She currently serves as the educational director of Michael Harner’s Foundation for Shamanic Studies. She conducts workshops around the world on soul retrieval, healing, and environmental protection using spiritual methods.

Ingerman is also a board-certified expert on traumatic stress as well as certified in acute traumatic stress management. She was awarded the 2007 Peace Award from the Global Foundation for Integrative Medicine and was chosen as one of the Top Ten Spiritual Leaders of 2013 in the November/December Issue of Spirituality and Health.
