Zindel Segal

Zindel Segal, PhD, is the Cameron Wilson Chair in Depression Studies, Head of the Mood and Anxiety Disorders Program, and a professor in the department of psychiatry at the University of Toronto. He is also Head of the Cognitive Behaviour Therapy Unit at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health and a pioneer in the use of mindfulness meditation for relapse prophylaxis in the area of mood disorders.

Author of 10 books, including Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy for Depression, Zindel Segal has published more than 100 scientific articles. His book, The Mindful Way Through Depression, is a patient guide for dealing with stress and achieving mood balance in everyday life.
