Carl Big Heart holds a Grandmother’s Pipe, which led him on a pathway of healing between men and women. This gathering is dedicated to the empowerment of men and women—to the divine feminine as she re-emerges in her fullness of power and beauty, and to the divine masculine as he guards and protects the holy space in which she flourishes and grows.

Coleaders Carl Big Heart and Stephanie Flanders agree, “We are living in a critical age. It is now vital for women to embody the truth of who they are and for men to step forward to boldly and tenaciously hold sacred space for this unfolding. Now is the time for men and women to get it together.”

Connecting deeply to Mother Earth, we enter into water, pipe, fire, and sweat lodge ceremonies, transforming our history as we:

  • Create sacred balance within each one of us
  • Communicate what we need for ourselves and from one another
  • Establish an environment of trust rooted in mutual vulnerability
  • Release ancient wounds and restore core places within ourselves
  • Increase our commitment to living in sacred balance within healed and whole relationships

Time is set aside for men’s and women’s circles to meet separately.

Dear Friends,

We want to thank you for the opportunity to join together in service on this pathway of healing and support between men, women and the earth. The Great Mystery will move within, among and through us. Of this there is no question. It would be a good thing -- as the time draws near -- to begin to establish this expectancy, this alignment within ourselves; and to prepare ourselves to receive healing of heart, mind and body.

Please note: Thursday afternoon there will be extended hours for the sweat lodge, an ancient ceremony of purification. It is not imperative that you enter the sweat lodge to participate in the ceremony. Sitting beside the fire outside is a place for prayer and is connected to the whole. The lodge will be introduced with time for questions before the ceremony begins.

Our hearts are filled with gladness and anticipation in the knowing we will meet soon. May Great Spirit's love surround you and inundate you in all ways, for always.

**There may be optional extended hours on an additional afternoon and early morning.

Things to Bring:

Please bring with you: a journal and pen, water bottle (if you have one), towel, and appropriate sweat lodge attire (for men: shorts; for women: below the knee length skirt or sarong and modest blouse -- or dress).

Stephanie Flanders, MDiv, works alongside Big Heart in the United States as well as in Europe and Canada. She facilitates women’s circles and ceremonies, and has been a massage therapist at the Omega Wellness Center for 15 years.
