Description

This workshop has been canceled.

What do women want out of sex? What provokes us, what satisfies us, and how does this change over the years both in relationships and on our own? Although we are surrounded by sexual images in the media, how do we deeply connect with our own sexual selves, which are often hidden and mysterious?

This weekend, we have the unique opportunity to dive deeply into these questions and many more with some of the country’s leading thinkers on love, passion, and the erotic—Erica Jong, Lonnie Barbach, Helen Fisher, and Jaiya.

We embark on a journey of self-discovery, taking the time to look within ourselves to reflect on our histories and the forces that shaped our sexuality, and discover ways to transcend our blocks to create a life and relationships that are both sustainable and satisfying.

We also delve into extensive and new research findings, from brain scans to biology. We explore the basic traits of women’s sexuality and how it differs from men’s; the phenomenon of love-at-first-sight; the evolution of marriage, adultery, and divorce; the characteristics of love addictions; and the essentials of what makes a happy partnership.

This provocative program also includes plenty of opportunities for dialogue. It is open to women of all ages and of any background, and is of interest to mental health professionals and others who specialize in women’s issues.
