Yoga nidra, which means “sleep of the yogis,” is one of the most profound and effective practices of classical yoga training. It is used to prepare both mind and body for deep rejuvenation and heightened awareness.

Accomplished yogis claim that half an hour of yoga nidra meditation can replace up to three hours of normal sleep. In this retreat guided by master yoga teacher Glenn Black, you explore yogic movement awareness and breathing, complete yogic relaxation, and the deep experience of yoga nidra—remaining alert while your normal waking consciousness dissolves as in sleep.

Your practice of yoga nidra meditation this weekend provides the opportunity to observe space-time phenomena from a transcendental perspective and prepares you for the experience of going beyond the chains of the ego and the cycle of death and dying.

Those at all levels of meditation experience are welcome and receive extensive instruction in the practice of yoga nidra.
