As one of Omega’s Centers, the OWLC was launched in 2012 and recently entered its third phase of development. The OWLC promotes women’s leadership by convening, inspiring, and training women to #DoPowerDifferently and lead from their own authentic voice, values, and vision. As such, the curriculum addresses the full person--body, mind and spirit. As Omega launches its membership platform and expands its online learning curriculum, this position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of the OWLC at a pivotal moment.
Guided by the Omega Mission and OWLC Vision, the OWLC Program Developer works closely with the OWLC Director, Chief External Affairs Officer, OWLC team members, OWLC Cofounders, and other organizational stakeholders to advance the development of the Center’s learning curriculum and adjunct materials that support the learning, community building, and inspiration of OWLC constituents, stakeholders, and members. Responsibilities include researching, developing, producing, and evaluating diverse educational programs both online and onsite at Omega's Rhinebeck and satellite locations, contributing to the financial management and sustainability of the OWLC, building and sustaining relationships with faculty, collaborating strategically with Omega’s Programming Department, managing OWLC events including supervising volunteers, and supporting the refinement of the OWLC curriculum.

- Bachelor’s Degree
- Three years experience in developing education programs and curriculum rooted in a holistic approach to learning, preferably with a focus on women’s leadership
- Two years experience in online curriculum development, course implementation, and evaluation
- Substantial work experience in a related field, including two to three years experience in business development
- Demonstrated success in catalyzing new stages of growth in educational programs and with projects that involve building constituencies
- Solid experience working with budgets and financial management
- Experience with digital best practices and strategies, emerging ideas, and tools, including the creation of compelling communications and learning materials
- Commitment to the empowerment and advancement of women, and engaging men and people of all genders in supporting gender equality
- Knowledge of women’s history, the psychological and spiritual dimensions of leadership and empowerment, the global women’s movement— including intersectionality, power, and privilege—and progressive social change strategies
- Understanding of Omega’s and OWLC’s programmatic content and trends and development in the holistic education field
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously or collaboratively as part of a team, as environment or project dictates
- Strong negotiation skills
- Ability to manage complex details, including large projects and timelines
- Alignment with Omega’s mission, goals, strategic plan, and core values, and OWLC vision, purpose, strategic plan, and goals
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master’s Degree
- Training and/or courses in Women’s Studies and Leadership
- Solid understanding of the nonprofit sector and of organizational development

- Plan and implement OWLC learning experiences, including conferences, workshops, and special offerings for members, in close collaboration with OWLC Director and integrating input from the OWLC Team
- Design, plan, implement and refine online learning courses
- Manage program budget, develop and implement innovative strategies to diversify and increase program revenue, in order to achieve the OWLC’s financial goals
- Collaborate with Omega’s Programming Department to ensure strategic coordination of women’s empowerment programs
- Research, develop, and produce new programs and refine existing programs to maximize enrollment and successfully meet or exceed program goals
- Develop and sustain faculty relations, including making initial contact with faculty; cultivating positive and ongoing relationships with faculty; negotiating honoraria; overseeing contracts and logistics; using independent discretion to tactfully and effectively handle conflicts or issues; collaborating with marketing & communications strategist on customized workshop promotion with faculty
- Support the development and refinement of OWLC curriculum design through research and evaluation
- Work with OWLC Administrative & Data Coordinator to design and implement evaluation strategies to evaluate program effectiveness and measure progress toward impact goals
- Plan and manage OWLC events, such as Women & Power Retreat, with input and support from the OWLC Team. Areas include coordinating across Omega departments, managing program and faculty logistics, overseeing event flow, and supervising volunteers
- Work across the organization to ensure integration of all aspects of OWLC
- Be a strong ambassador for the OWLC and develop strategic relationships inside and outside the organization
This position supervises volunteers and seasonal staff
- Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation volunteers and seasonal staff
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
- This position functions in Omega’s administrative offices on the Omega campus.
- Physical demands: This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand, as necessary. Office workers aren't expected to perform heavy lifting regularly, but they may be expected to lift a box of paper, which weighs approximately 20 pounds.
- This is a full-time position.
- The typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. This schedule may vary when special needs and projects arise.
