Thousands of people come to Omega each year to further their professional development by taking programs that offer continuing education credits. Many companies offer their employees assistance in advanced training; check with your employer. Continuing education credits are awarded in the following categories to the programs listed on the accreditation chart. Programs are certified for continuing education credits by the Institute for Better Health (IBH), formerly IAHB, and not by Omega Institute for Holistic Studies, Inc.
Certificate of Attendance
Omega Institute for Holistic Studies, Inc., is responsible for issuing Certificates of Attendance. There is a $25 fee for a Certificate of Attendance for a workshop that you have attended. In three to six weeks, you will receive a Certificate of Attendance. There will be an additional $25 fee for certificates that need to be reissued. This is not a Continuing Education Certificate. You may request a Certificate of Attendance when you register, or call 877.944.2002.
Continuing Education Guidelines
To qualify for CE/CME credit, you must be registered in the workshop, have paid all fees in full, attended all sessions, and fully and actively participated in the program. You must pre-register for CE/CME credit; please be sure to include all related fees when you register.
There is a $50 fee for CE credit, unless stated otherwise in the course description. There will be an additional $50 fee for certificates that need to be reissued.
To receive accreditation, you must attend the course in full, sign in and out each day at your workshop and drop off your (signed) disclaimer form. Within 7-10 business days after your workshop you will receive emailed instructions on how to obtain and download your post workshop evaluation. Upon completion of your online evaluation, you will be able to download your CE/CME Certificate. Failure to submit all paperwork and fees at the conclusion of the workshop will disqualify you from receiving credit.

The Institute for Better Health (IBH) works with Omega Institute for Holistic Studies, Inc., to provide quality educational activities that are available for professional continuing education credit.
IBH is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational organization located in Portola Valley, California. Its mission is to provide innovative, top quality continuing education and continuing medical education activities for professionals. The Institute’s programs encompass a comprehensive and multidisciplinary array of educational activities in the form of workshops, conferences, multi-media home-study materials, and customized training programs. Except as otherwise noted, IBH has been approved as a provider of continuing education and continuing medical education by the following organizations. Please refer to the accreditation chart for designated activities and hours for your profession.
B Bodyworkers and Massage Therapists
IBH is approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) as a continuing education Approved Provider. Approved Provider #450111-06. All courses designated for bodyworkers and massage therapists have been submitted to the NCBTMB for course approval.
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint sponsorship of the Institute for Better Health (IBH) and Omega Institute for Holistic Studies. IBH is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. IBH designates this live activity for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ per hour attended. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
The Institute for Better Health has been approved by the Washington State Professional Educator Standards Board (WESPSB), a member of NASDTEC, as a Clock Hour Provider for Educators. Learners may claim one Clock Hour for each activity hour attended. Please contact your individual state boards for information regarding reciprocity and any additional requirements.
G Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors
IBH is a provider of Continuing Education for Certification and Recertification for Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors in the State of Texas. Provider #1847-12. IBH is approved by the National Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors Approved Provider Program (NAADAC Approved Education Provider # 9273). All courses designated for Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors have been submitted to NAADAC for prior approval. The Institute for Better Health (IBH) is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. Provider approved by the CA Board of Registered Nursing (BRN Provider CEP#2672) for 1 credit hour per each contact hour.
IBH is approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. IBH maintains responsibility for indicated programs and their content.
S Social Workers
Institute for Better Health (IBH), ACE Provider #1426, approved as a provider for social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB), through the Approved Continuing Education (ACE) Program. IBH maintains responsibility for the program. Social workers should contact their regulatory board to determine course approval. Social workers will receive 1 CE hour per hour attended of continuing education clinical social work clock hours for participating in the selected course. IBH is an approved continuing education provider for the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners. YA Yoga Alliance
Continuing Education credits are granted in accordance with Yoga Alliance standards. See YogaAlliance.org for more information. All hours are contact hours.
NY State Counselors & Social Workers:
Institute for Better Health (IBH) is recognized by the New York State Education Department's State Board for Mental Health Practitioners as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed mental health counselors. Provider Approval #MHC-0063. Institute for Better Health (IBH) SW CPE is recognized by the New York State Education Department’s State Board for Social Work as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed social workers #0091. Courses that meet the guidelines for the New York State Education Department are approved for 1 contact hour per hour attended. Please see course webpage for specific course approvals.
