Hope & Healing for Veterans
For more than 20 years, Omega has offered hope and healing to veterans and family members dealing with issues of post-traumatic stress. From workshops designed for health-care professionals to special programs for veterans experiencing symptoms of post-traumatic stress and retreats for military women and women veterans, we offer trainings and retreats in resiliency and healing trauma that focus on complementary and alternative medicine modalities.
As many as 35% percent of soldiers serving in Iraq and Afghanistan are expected to suffer from emotional and mental health issues upon their return. The implications of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), often referred to as an invisible wound, can be seen in behavior that results in homelessness, drug use, spousal abuse, and suicide. And now, more than ever, the challenges of veterans reintegrating into society continue to grow increasingly complex.
If you or a family member would like to attend one of our workshops, or learn more about scholarships, or tiered pricing options, see our available workshops.
If you would like to support these programs to help us provide scholarships that cover the cost of tuition, room, and board for veterans, family members, and caregivers who might not otherwise be able to attend, please see our Donate section.
