Based on Jon Kabat-Zinn’s renowned program at the Center for Mindfulness at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, this retreat teaches you the basics of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and how to apply it in your daily life. Florence Meleo-Meyer, Train the Trainer, program director of Oasis Institute for Mindfulness-Based Professional Training and Education Programs at the Center, and Melissa Myozen Blacker, former director of programs at the Center and guiding teacher in the Boundless Way Zen sangha, engage you in sitting meditation, body scanning, and hatha yoga, and guide you in practicing and integrating mindfulness in your communications and other daily activities.
