Workshop

A Retreat for Veterans

Feeling Good About Ourselves

May 13 - May 18 2018 Rhinebeck, NY

We are no longer taking online registrations for this workshop.

Male veterans come together to support one another and renew mind, body, and spirit in this veterans retreat organized by the Coming Home Project.

Join fellow veterans to support one another and renew mind, body, spirit, and relationships in a beautiful, tranquil setting.

This integrative program is designed to help veterans alleviate the psychological, relational, and spiritual injuries of war. It is facilitated by a trained multidisciplinary team of veterans, psychotherapists, and interfaith leaders practicing holistic educational services for over a decade.

Through wellness practices, small support groups, outdoor recreational activities, and expressive arts, we:

  • Reconnect with ourselves and other veterans
  • Share experiences in an atmosphere of mutual support and trust
  • Learn stress management and emotional resilience skills, including mindfulness, qigong, and yoga

We also learn ways to improve communication and relationships, and we return home with new skills, inspiration, and connections.

This workshop, for men only, gives veterans the opportunity to share deeply about their experiences and commune with other veterans in an accepting and supportive environment. It is not a substitute for clinical treatment or psychotherapy.

Application/Scholarships: Application is required; apply early, as enrollment is limited and spots fill quickly. Full tuition for this retreat is $695; scholarships are available to cover all but $75 of the total cost.
