Description

There is nothing like that “aha” moment when we suddenly understand someone else’s perspective. In fact, it is a crucial step in cultivating empathy, an essential connection tool that is more important than ever in today’s world.

In this workshop we explore how, when we suspend the thoughts that separate us from others, we are free to discover the experiences and life events that connect us. When we approach each other this way, we can develop the understanding that opens the door for deepened relationships. Through group discussion and dialogue, we:

  • Examine and apply the inAccord Conflict Analysis model
  • Learn mediation techniques to reframe issues, deal with impasse, negotiate solutions, and prevent and resolve conflict
  • Use clear communication to build unifying and effective solutions to personal and professional challenges
  • Practice and cultivate empathy to see the perspectives of another

Women who want to learn how to develop a greater understanding of their relationships, and deepen their leadership skills are welcome.

Scholarships are available; see Women's Leadership Rhinebeck Workshops application at eomega.org/scholarships.
