Discover animal mindfulness techniques to increase feelings of happiness and relaxation, as well as focus and empathy, with Sarah A. Bowen.

Sarah A. Bowen talks about the practice of animal mindfulness.

We have all experienced a difficult emotion and felt comforted by the love of an animal. Research confirms that spending time with animals mindfully can help us regulate the intensity of negative emotions.

Join award-winning author and animal chaplain Sarah A. Bowen for a creative exploration of animal mindfulness techniques you can use with animals living inside your home, as well as those living wild and free around your habitat.

Mindfulness practices with an animal—or using an animal's presence as the focus of our mindfulness—can lead to feelings of happiness and relaxation, Sarah says. Interspecies practices have also been shown to increase focus and increase empathy.

Sarah says that 67 percent of homes are interspecies, which means that most of us have many opportunities to practice animal mindfulness. Join live for this Omega Teachers Studio and connect with an animal close to you.

Join Teachers Studio live on Wednesday, March 13, 7:00-9:00 p.m. ET (4:00-6:00 p.m. PT). For registered participants, this class will be available until May 13.
