When confronted with grief, loss, or difficulties it can seem nearly impossible to choose love. But with the help of brain science, you can learn to respond to every situation—no matter how traumatic—with forgiveness and compassion.

Guided by Scarlett Lewis, who lost her son in the mass shooting in Newtown, Connecticut, craniosacral therapy expert Kate Mackinnon, and trauma survivor Dana Liesegang, you learn a foundational process based on neuroscience—an equation that will lead you to incrementally choose love in your life every time.

In a safe and nurturing environment, you hear stories of post-traumatic growth, learn about the importance of touch, practice grounding and creating healthy boundaries, and explore your capacity to be open to new choices, regardless of your situation or diagnosis.

Through group activities, meditation, visualization, intention setting, lecture, and question-and-answer sessions, you acquire new skills to ground yourself and access a greater understanding of how you can utilize your experiences, feelings, and energy.

Anyone looking to move beyond fear and heal from traumas big or small is welcome.

Dining Hall Hours (Dinner is included on arrival day):
Breakfast: 7:00 a.m.–8:45 a.m.
Lunch: Noon–2:00 p.m.
Dinner: 6:00 p.m.–7:15 p.m.

Daily Open Classes in meditation, yoga, tai chi, or movement (subject to availability):

Scarlett Lewis is founder of The Jesse Lewis Choose Love Foundation, created in honor of her six year old son, Jesse Lewis, who was murdered at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut.

Kate Mackinnon, PT, CST, is a physical therapist, passionate advocate for craniosacral therapy, presenter for Healing From the Core, and author of From My Hands and Heart.

Dana Liesegang is author of Falling Up: My Wild Ride from Victim to Kick-Ass Victory, which chronicles her healing journey after a traumatic attack and injury. She travels internationally speaking on the role of forgiveness in healing.
