This program has been rescheduled for October.
I closed my eyes; I felt the earth; and breathed
I yearn for home
—Pádraig Ó Tuama
What does it mean to find a home in the world? For some of us, it means finding a lasting peace; for others it is facing down a devil; for still others it is delving the strange world of dreams; and for others still it is writing new stories because the old ones failed. Conflict is part of every story; so is company; so is solitude.
In this retreat with renowned Irish poet and peace activist Pádraig Ó Tuama, we relax, breathe, listen to poetry, and write some of our own, and perhaps recover a deeper sense of self. We explore stories—their beginnings and middles—and the strange world of dreams.
Some time will be spent outdoors with the gardens, forests, and waters of Omega's beautiful campus. This special experience is open to anyone who loves to feel at home in the world.
