Are you looking for a better way to treat yourself and the planet? Learn to make customized, nontoxic, personal-care products perfectly suited to your skin, hair, and body.

Whether you want to avoid the chemicals found in many products, are interested in a zero-waste lifestyle, or simply enjoy making things, herbalist Dina Falconi, author of Earthly Bodies & Heavenly Hair, reveals the art and science of making home-crafted body-care products. She shares her favorite master recipes and answers your questions about how to use all-natural ingredients to support, soothe, nourish, and heal the body.

Get hands-on experience as Falconi guides you step-by-step in how to make healthy creams, salves, balms, herbal oils, face cleansers, mouthwashes, and more. You learn to create an individual skin, hair, and body-care plan for yourself, and practice creating a plan for someone else. You also enjoy a luxurious herbal facial treatment with the items you make in the workshop.

Return home with samples and the knowledge you need to create your own natural, personalized, body-care products.

Enrollment is limited for this program; register early.

Faculty recommends you read the following book in preparation for the course:

  • Earthly Bodies & Heavenly Hair: Natural and Healthy Personal Care for Every Body by Dina Falconi
  • A notebook
  • Hair bands/clips to pull hair back for facial
  • If possible: you bring a heat-proof bowl to hold very hot water. The bowl should be two-quart sized. Glass or ceramic bowls work best.
