Plus Online Session:
Sunday, June 28
1:00 p.m. EST
Join Tim Desmond for a free introductory session of guided meditations that help grow resilient self-compassion and teach you how to bring that quality into your everyday life.
Please register for the call here.
There is a tremendous amount of suffering in the world. Yet many of us are motivated to leave things here in a better state than we found them.
Join Tim Desmond, an esteemed Buddhist philosopher and co-organizer of Occupy Wall Street, and discover a path toward embracing the beauty, pain, longing, and trauma of the here and now.
Based in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh, Desmond’s longtime teacher, we practice sitting and walking meditation with an emphasis on embracing suffering with compassion. Desmond offers individualized, guided practices using Dialogue-Based Mindfulness Training.
Desmond shares his own life experiences, including childhood homelessness, decades of grassroots political organizing, and losing his wife to cancer—and tells how he learned to apply Buddhist teachings to emerge with inner strength, joyful resilience, and a deep understanding of human suffering.
