From the earliest known mosaic (the 4,500-year-old Standard of Ur in modern day Iraq) to the flourishing contemporary art scene, mosaics have had an important place in public and private art.
Discover for yourself the historical beauty of mosaics as we explore the art of the past and examine what modern mosaic artists are doing with this versatile medium.
Guided by mosaic artists Suzi K. Edwards and Holly Odess, you learn the tools, materials, and techniques of mosaic art and then create your own piece—a self-portrait, an ideal landscape, or a dazzling abstract composition.
You return home with art to beautify your home as well as skills to continue making mosaics on your own. No previous experience is necessary.
Enrollment is limited for this program; register early.
Suzi K. Edwards is also teaching Mixed Media Mirror Mosaics.
All materials are provided.
