Are you interested in leaving behind assumptions about yourself and others? Are you looking to obliterate racial and gender stereotypes in a way that makes us all more whole? Discover how compassion and mindfulness training, combined with new models of communication, can help us move past the old stories that rule our lives.

Guided by Vinny Ferraro and Pam Dunn, mindfulness teachers with extensive experience working on social justice issues, you explore your personal conditioning. Through small and large group work, you come to understand that if you can see what part your own stories play in how you perceive others, you have a better chance to see them for who they really are outside your assumptions.

As the collective intelligence of the group emerges, you witness what’s possible for our communities and society when we are willing to take the risk to see past our old narratives to truly connect and heal that which divides us.

Dining Hall Hours (Dinner is included on arrival day):
Breakfast: 7:00 a.m.–8:45 a.m.
Lunch: Noon–2:00 p.m.
Dinner: 6:00 p.m.–7:15 p.m.

Daily Open Classes in meditation, yoga, tai chi, or movement (subject to availability):

Vinny Ferraro is a senior trainer at Mindful Schools and a founding member of Dharma Punx. He is a longtime mindfulness practitioner and instructor and a nationally recognized leader in designing and implementing interventions for at-risk adolescents.

Pam Dunn is a social justice advocate who works with Mindful Schools, Challenge Day, Be Present, and a number of other organizations on staff development and training, youth program development, and leadership development as well as nonprofit program evaluation, strategic planning, and conflict resolution.
