Climate change is one of the most important and existential issues of our times, but many people become overwhelmed or avoid the discussion out of anxiety, fear, or hopelessness. The issue is especially poignant for the youth of today, who often feel the world is ending around them.
Real resilience and capacity has to include our ability to bring our full selves. To do that, we must acknowledge our deepest anxieties, fears, and concerns in safe spaces without judgment or fear of recrimination.
This can be accomplished by translating complex psychological and social science research insights into clear, applied, and profound tools for effective communication and engagement.
Through lecture, meditation, writing exercises, and small group practice, this program—led by a nationally-recognized leader in the study of climate anxiety and communication—builds our capacity for compassion-based leadership and activism.
This intensive is especially suitable for educators, psychologists, counselors, social workers, HR administrators, parents, environmental practitioners, and activists of all ages faced with climate change-related anxiety, overwhelm, and depression.
