Enter your own true heart through these awareness practices from the Sufi and Buddhist traditions with Saki F. Santorelli.

“Love is the merchandise/which the world demands/If you store it in your heart/every soul will become your customer,” says the Sufi teacher Hazrat Inayat Khan. There is an art to entering our true heart and there is also a price: the slow surrender of our limited self to the unlimited.

All this comprises what the Sufi’s call the “rust” on the heart. This retreat is an invitation to tenderly and bravely dissolve this rust. Together, we’ll practice meditation and mindfulness as a way of soothing, relaxing, and polishing the mirror of the heart. Exploring awareness practices from the Sufi and Buddhist traditions, structured and spontaneous moments of conversation, dialogue, and inquiry, silence and stillness, poetry and story, music and movement, we learn to lean into the feeling of love, linger in love, and, so being, open into the fullness we actually are.

This workshop begins Sunday at 7:00 p.m. and has extended hours including early morning meditations and evening sessions.

Faculty recommends you read the following book in preparation for the course:
