Man meditating in his living room

Bring your mindfulness practice to life with Matthew Sockolov, author of Practicing Mindfulness and guiding teacher of One Mind Dharma.

Matthew Sockolov talks about how the practice of mindfulness applies to modern life.

Mindfulness practice has the potential to transform us at our very core. With some time, we grow to experience the world in a whole new way. We may know this, but how do we cultivate mindfulness on a daily basis?

Sharon Salzberg says in her best-selling book Real Happiness, "Mindfulness isn't difficult, we just need to remember to do it." This is the case for many of us. We can't seem to find the time to sit in formal meditation practice, we find ourselves on autopilot throughout our days, and we struggle with the "how" of remembering to be mindful.

In this workshop, Matthew Sockolov guides you in his powerful approach to bringing mindfulness to everyday life.

During the weeklong retreat, participants will:

  • Develop tools to establish and deepen a mindfulness meditation practice
  • Learn pragmatic ways to engage with their life with a present and compassionate mind and heart
  • Investigate different approaches to working with difficult emotions
  • Discover the importance of being present for joy and gratitude
  • Explore how to access mindfulness on a regular basis throughout their days
