Through the ancient practice of qigong, you stretch all the meridians in your body and bring fresh blood and oxygen to all of your internal organs–a potent way to boost your health during cold winter months.
Feel rejuvenated in this online session with qigong and tai chi teacher Leia Cohen, as you enjoy a 40-minute practice that helps wash away stress. Then, take part in a discussion about the five-element theory and the element of water that is associated with the winter months.
Leia says it is especially important to nourish the kidneys during this time, since this internal organ is ruled by the element of water. The kidneys store fear but also our self-confidence–so nourishing the kidney meridians will help to build confidence. We also explore the foods that are appropriate during the colder months of the year according to Traditional Chinese medical philosophy.
This 90-minute workshop is for anyone who wants to boost their health, feel first hand the benefits of practicing qigong, and adopt intentional eating throughout the season.
