Learn to paint the landscape of Omega's idyllic grounds simply and irreverently with Woodstock School of Art’s Kate McGloughlin.

On Omega’s idyllic grounds, The Woodstock School of Art’s own Kate McGloughlin will lead this en plein air painting workshop, an immersive experience that she has taken around the globe to help painters navigate the visual pitfalls and stumbling blocks that can make painting on location seem overwhelming.

This course was designed to help artists simplify their approach to landscape painting by learning the practical aspects of painting in the field and capturing the essence of place by creating meaningful sketch book entries. Using a system of visual interpretation with three values and three shapes to achieve the greatest visual impact—in whichever medium they choose—participants thrive in a warm and collegial environment with demonstrations, easel critiques, and personalized attention. Frequent discussions about design, composition, color, and intention keep this class lively and informative.

Bring your spirit of adventure. All levels of experience welcome.
