Learn to use Spontaneous Symmetry as an artistic tool in this workshop with ambidextrous artist Donna Mikkelsen.

Drawing with both hands simultaneously engages both hemispheres of the brain, focuses the senses, and stimulates the creative process. It’s also a lot of fun.

Learn to use Spontaneous Symmetry as an artistic tool in this workshop with ambidextrous artist Donna Mikkelsen. Through periods of movement, full-body symmetry drawing, music, collaborative art making, and journaling, you discover not only a drawing tool but a means for meditation, self-reflection, and improved well-being. Collaborative Symmetry explores radial symmetry drawing in pairs and in larger groups as a means to explore leadership, teamwork, and nonverbal communication.

Return home with new skills for finding balance and focus in your everyday life as well as for accessing the creativity inside of you to use anywhere at any time.

This workshop is designed for people with any level of experience and ability who are interested in the brain, mindfulness, healing, teaching, team-building, dance, visual art, or design. Teachers will discover a fun tool to help build teamwork and leadership skills for their students.

Faculty recommends you read the following book in preparation for the course:

  • The Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment by Eckhart Tolle
