Angel Acosta is pursuing a doctorate degree in curriculum and teaching at Teachers College, Columbia University. He studied anthropology and leadership at SUNY Plattsburgh. For the last 10 years, he has worked in the field of college access, preparing underserved youth for higher education. His academic research focuses on contemplative practices, healing and social justice.
Acosta is currently an education consultant and former trustee for the Center for Contemplative Mind in Society. He researches and facilitates seminars on restorative circles and the power of centering healing in public education.
