Susun Weed is a joyous being with an encyclopedic knowledge of herbs and health.
She teaches internationally, trains shamanic apprentices at her home in the Catskill Mountains, and oversees the work of her correspondence students in areas of ethnobotany, eco-herbalism, philosophy and psychology of healing, women’s health/spirituality, folkloric herbalism, and altered states of consciousness (including learning, healing, birthing, and dying) and plants that aid these states.
Ms. Weed has taught at hundreds of conferences, hospitals, schools, colleges, and universities, including: Yale Nurse Midwifery School, Bastyr Naturopathic College, Sufi Order Healing, Kripalu, Bioneers, Omega, and The Kosmos.
The author of five books including Wise Woman Herbal for the Childbearing Year, Healing Wise, New Menopausal Years, Breast Cancer? Breast Health!, and Down There, for Men and Women: The Wise Woman Way, have been translated into six languages, chosen as the Best Health Book of the Year, and are cherished by generations of women.
