Thomas Shivanand Amelio is founder of Contemplative Solutions, a consulting and educational organization that offers meditation- and yoga-based philosophical and practical approaches to living for leaders, organizations, and individuals.
Thomas is a founding member and senior teacher at Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health and is president emeritus of the New York Open Center. He studied yogic disciplines and philosophy in India, most notably with Swami Rajarshi Muni and was editor of Swami’s book Yoga: The Ultimate Spiritual Path.
Thomas is also a musician, Certified Integrative Sound Practitioner, and proponent of sound for integration and healing. His CDs include Mantra Darshan, Vedic and tantric invocations for meditative absorption, and The Infinite Om, the pure sound of the mantra Om for meditative bliss.
