The greatest promise offered by the ancient mind-body practice of qigong is that we can heal our own pain and suffering. Refined for millennia, this Chinese meditative exercise system focuses on absorbing and cultivating life-force energies, combining body, breath, and mind-focused methods to enhance and harmonize “qi” (vital force). Those who practice qigong regularly often experience striking improvement in their energy and well-being.
Drawing on 40 years of experience and nine trips to China’s sacred mountains, master teacher Roger Jahnke guides you in awakening, cultivating, and refining your own natural healing and intuitive abilities. Starting with the ancient Three Treasures and qi awareness, you discover your own natural inner power through the “Nine Phases of Cultivation and Mastery of Qi.” These transformative practices also include explorations in Chinese medical theory, Taoism and Buddhism philosophy, and elements of Western physiology, psychology, and quantum physics.
No prior experience is required, yet this workshop is perfect for experienced qigong, tai chi, and yoga practitioners, as well as health professionals, beginning students of traditional Chinese healing practices, and those who seek healing for body, mind, and spirit.
Faculty recommends you read the following books in preparation for the course:
