For the third consecutive year, Omega is pleased to have Trust Technique™ founder James French and director Shelley Slingo return to the United States to teach this transformative method of fostering peace and mutual regard with animals.
The Trust Technique is a mindful method of working with animals that fosters our own personal healing through a shared journey of finding peace with animals. Together we create a supportive environment that becomes a healing experience for both humans and animals.
The Trust Technique moves beyond a dynamic of dominance between animals and people. It recognizes animals as whole beings that work in consultation or communion with humans. In the present moment, deep connections are made. Negative patterns can be broken and problems can be overcome for both humans and animals.
Through talks, demonstrations, and practice sessions (including time with rescue dogs and visiting a nearby horse stable), we learn the core concepts of the Trust Technique and develop true confidence with animals. We also learn to develop a daily therapeutic practice we can share with animal companions in our life—including sensitive animals, or animals that have lost trust with humans.
This workshop offers practical skills for those who care for animals, including veterinarians, animal practitioners and rescuers, and those who live with pets or simply have a love of animals.
Enrollment is limited for this program; register early. Upon registration your contact information will be shared with the faculty so they can be in touch with you prior to the workshop.
Please note: This week's class at Omega is an experiential training, however it does not count towards achieving a Trust Technique diploma. Please see the Trust Technique website for further details.

Things To Bring
One off-site demonstration only field-trip will take place outdoors, rain or shine, and may require walking, so the faculty asks that you bring the following with you to the course:
- Clothing to layer, as October weather is unpredictable and can range from warm to cold
- Comfortable, closed-toe walking shoes
- Hat with a brim
- Long pants
- Water bottle
- Optional: Portable chair
- There may be long periods of time when you will be standing, so you may want to bring a portable lightweight chair that you can carry, if that will be more comfortable for you.
