In a world that appears to be growing increasingly harsh and threatening by the day, we are called to discover the very best in ourselves and to nurture the wisdom and compassion needed to stay clear and connected to the world around us. This aspiration is fully expressed in the ideal of the bodhisattva, one who is committed to care for the world in any way possible.
This weekend, we learn how to express this compassionate intention through training in the six paramitas, or perfections—the six transcendent practices through which we discover our own awakened nature and the ability to profoundly benefit others.
Through meditation practice combined with teachings and discussions, we’ll learn how to maintain a steady and open heart in turbulent times.
Anyone committed to transforming their heart and mind—experienced practitioners and those new to the path—as well as those who work in helping professions are welcome.
