Leonardo da Vinci believed that appreciating sensory delights can inspire creativity and happiness. With this delicious event—including a special dinner from Omega FoodWorks—we explore a mindful, playful approach to some of life’s most delectable treats.
By tasting, drinking, listening to music, and writing poetry, we learn the art of nonjudgmental, comparative appreciation. When comparing and contrasting different chocolates, wines, or multiple versions of a musical composition, your mind naturally attunes to the differences and similarities among them. You notice greater subtleties as you deepen your recall for the pleasurable experience. The process of comparing different aesthetically pleasing experiences also invokes effortless present moment focus, a state of mind associated with increased creativity and happiness and reduced anxiety and stress.
This enhanced experience of wonder and awareness puts more dolce in your vita, more joie in your vivre, and more creativity in your everyday life.
