In this yoga retreat for male veterans, supported by a community of brothers, you learn iRest techniques to comfort the body, ease the mind, and promote healing.

Research shows that yoga and relaxation practices help veterans reintegrate after the challenging experiences of military service. In this yoga retreat for male veterans, you learn techniques to comfort the body, ease the mind, and promote healing.

Guided by Annie Okerlin and veteran Nicholas Caris, and supported by a community of brothers, you practice yoga and learn to modify postures to accommodate unique physical limitations and ailments—including chronic pain and amputations.

You also experience daily iRest (Integrative Restoration) sessions, a technique endorsed by the U.S. Army Surgeon General and offered at military hospitals nationwide. A guided meditation based on Yoga Nidra, iRest promotes deep relaxation and acceptance of everything as it is. It helps the nervous system return to a balanced state of well-being, which is necessary to heal unresolved trauma and physical and emotional wounds. You leave with valuable tools to continue your healing journey at home.

Application/Scholarships: Application is required; apply early, as enrollment is limited and spots fill quickly. Full tuition for this retreat is $395 ($355 Members); scholarships are available to cover all but $75 of the total cost.

5 Nights Commuter Fee

If you are a commuter not staying in Omega accommodations, this non optional fee covers Omegas overhead costs, all meals, and use of the facilities, which includes optional classes, evening performances, sampler classes (during the week), the lake, walking trails, parking, and all guest services. An off-campus referral list is available.

Omega reserves the right to cancel a program at any time. If Omega cancels a program, you will receive a full refund.

Refunds are available (less a $55 processing fee) up to eight days before your program or stay.

Nonrefundable credit toward a future Omega program or stay (less a $55 processing fee) is available if you give notice between seven and one day(s) before your program or stay. Credit may be applied to any Omega program or stay for one year following date of issue.

No credit or refund is available if you cancel on the arrival day; if you do not show up; or if you leave an event early for any reason. No refund will be available if you attend a program and are dissatisfied with its presentation or content.
