Get comfortable in your skin, prevent injury, and lessen everyday aches and pains with healthy fascia—the interconnected web of tissues that wrap around muscles, bones, and organs. Join Ariele Foster, physical therapist and yoga teacher, for an all-level workshop of self-myofascial release and playful movement.
Self-myofascial release is a safe and extremely effective hands-on technique that applies gentle, sustained pressure into myofascial tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. Through lecture, discussion, and simple tools, uncover the science of fascia and apply the latest research to reprogram intelligent movements. Practice twice daily myofascial release and mindful movement exercises. Integrate myofascial release techniques into the physical expression of yoga and other movement modalities for pain-free living. Return home with more lightness, freedom, and a sense of renewal in your body.
This practice is a self-care skill that benefits and enhances the rest of your life, deeply complementing yoga, Pilates, dance, tai chi, and more. This workshop is especially perfect for movement teachers and experienced students who want to incorporate full body joint and tissue health.
$75 materials fee; include when you register. Participants need to be able to get on and off the floor independently.
