The solstice is the longest night of the year in the Northern Hemisphere, the official start for winter, and an invitation to turn inward, rest, and contemplate.
As we contemplate, we begin to ask: How might we appreciate the gifts of darkness and introspection that winter offers? What seeds of intention can be planted to nurture during winter that come to life in spring? What lessons can be learned from autumn?
In this 90-minute Omega Teachers Studio, guided by yoga and meditation leaders Reggie Hubbard and Oneika Mays, we explore all of these questions with meditation, sound, sharing, and a light asana practice.
Each day from the winter solstice until summer solstice, the days get longer, exemplifying the return of the sun. Even on the longest night, we must let our light shine bright.
