It is estimated that more than 80 percent of Americans will experience lower back pain in their lifetime. Find relief from pain and dysfunction in the lower back, sacrum, and hips with evidence-based therapeutic yoga sequences. Physical therapist and yoga therapist Emily Large shares how to apply basic principles of yoga therapy to reduce painful conditions and optimize the health and wellness of these areas of the body.
Expect to practice therapeutic yoga techniques proven to help lower back, sacrum, and hip pain or dysfunction. Also expect to feel like you have had a deep, healing massage. You return home with sequences specifically designed to target each of these areas and the knowledge to confidently choose the best practice for your current condition.
Physical therapists, occupational therapists, yoga therapists, yoga teachers, massage therapists, and anyone who suffers from pain or dysfunction in this region of the body is welcome. No previous yoga experience is necessary.
If you are currently experiencing pain, it is recommended you get a diagnosis from a doctor before attending the workshop. You must be able to get up and down from the floor without assistance.
