Yoga nidra is a process to guide you into deeper states of relaxation and profound awareness. It promotes sleep, learning, and mental and physical rejuvenation, and can remove deep seated fears. In the state of yoga nidra, the body and mind are no longer obstacles to attaining concentration and meditation—the higher stages of yoga.
In this weekend workshop guided by yoga teacher Glenn Black, we delve into this new space of consciousness and open the door to observe the subconscious field and travel to other dimensions of space and time. We also learn a Kriya Yoga technique called chaturtha pranayama, a meditation which includes breath awareness, mantra, and guided chakra rotation.
We prepare for yoga nidra and Kriya Yoga with Black’s signature Human Movement practice, which he developed over five decades of yoga and bodywork, to assist us in finding appropriate and safe ways to move.
