Barbara Tannenbaum is president of Dynamic Communication and senior lecturer in the Department of Theatre, Speech, and Dance at Brown University, where she teaches courses in public speaking and persuasive communication. She is also a regular guest lecturer at Wellesley College and Princeton University.
A sought-after keynote speaker, Tannenbaum combines academic foundations in persuasive communications with entertaining stories about how to emply tools of effective presentation. Her skills as a teacher, lecturer, and seminar leader have earned her an international clientele of doctors, lawyers, state supreme and appellate court judges, elected officials (including United States senators), and community and organization leaders. She was named to the Speaker’s Hall of Fame of the American Bar Association’s Council of Chief Judges.
Tannenbaum has worked with for 20 years to teach senior executives how to maximize effectiveness and communicate with power. She has advised and conducted public speaking workshops with the Third World Transition Program and with the Women in Science and Engineering group at Brown University. She has worked with many nationally prominent nonprofit and for-profit organizations, including the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and Yahoo!.
