Carla Olla is a 200- and 300-hour E-RYT yoga teacher. She founded Rhinebeck Yoga Center in 2018 where she leads yoga teacher-training programs and teaches weekly classes. Prior to that, she founded Love Yoga Center in Naples, Florida. She has been a dedicated yoga teacher since 2004, when she got her start teaching in Woodstock, New York.
Carla leads global and local yoga retreats with frequent visits to India, to share her love of the land where yoga was born. She has been powerfully influenced by her teachers Sharon Gannon and David Life, the founders of Jivamukti Yoga. She also holds certificates in Ayurveda Yoga, Reiki, and Thai Yoga Massage.
She first started practicing yoga to heal an injury and quickly became enthralled with the many benefits the practice has to offer the body, mind, and spirit. Before becoming a yoga teacher, Carla worked as a professional musician and was guitarist on a world tour with Deborah Harry, earning her a Gold Record, as well as playing bass with Dee Dee Ramone of the Ramones. In her spare time, she enjoys learning to play new instruments, hiking, dreaming, and meditating.
